Initiative supports fight against invisible plagues – 850,000 Euros for medical research in Africa

More than one billion people all over the world suffer from tropical diseases which are mostly unknown to the wider public and have also been neglected economically. In a joint effort with four other European foundations, the Volkswagen Foundation has opened a second round of funding for African scientists conducting research on these neglected diseases.
Partnership agreement between Fondation Mérieux and Fondation Gattefossé to train pharmacists in Cambodia

Fondation Mérieux and Fondation Gattefossé have signed a new partnership agreement aiming to strenghten the specialized teaching capacities available to doctors and pharmacists at the University of Health Sciences in Cambodia. The Fondation Gattefossé contributes financially to develop this teaching of medical biology which was originally set up by the Coopération Franςaise and Fondation Mérieux.
Malagasy laboratories to receive upgrade
