Doctor David Heymann is appointed Vice-President of Fondation Mérieux

Last July, Doctor David Heymann accepted the post of Vice President of Fondation Mérieux. Doctor David Heymann has also been a member of the Scientific Board of Fondation Mérieux since 2008.

The Board of Directors of Fondation Mérieux is made up of 12 members who come together to represent several parties; the family of the founder Charles Mérieux, the qualified sector and a governmental representative from the Department of the Rhône.

After having secured the post of Assistant Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) in charge of infectious diseases, Doctor David Heymann joined Imperial College, London and was appointed chairman of the United Kingdom Health Protection Agency.
