Fondation Mérieux actively contributes to innovative scientific research on infectious diseases in developing countries. To do this, it sets up partnership agreements with research centers (public or private) and international academic researchers.
Fondation Mérieux supports studies carried out in the laboratories of its partners and those within the Rodolphe Mérieux Laboratories network. The aim of this scientific work is to increase understanding of those infectious diseases that affect underprivileged countries and to develop tools for analysis or diagnosis that are adapted to the local constraints.
Fondation Mérieux is particularly dedicated to speeding up the access of developing countries to accessible and suitable methods of diagnosis, from upstream research to application in the field.
