RESAOLAB program achievements

  • Construction of the Laboratory Division in the Institut de Perfectionnement Professionnel en Santé (IPPS) in Donka (2015)

  • Construction of Ebola treatment center in Macenta, in collaboration with the French Red Cross and Médecins sans Frontières (operational since November 2014)

  • Training sessions for trainers and health workers

  • Supervision of laboratories to assess performance and needs

  • Implementation of distribution logistics for laboratories linked to the Central Pharmacy of Guinea

In response to the Ebola virus epidemic

  • Donation of kits for secure sample collection and transport, training and audits for laboratories concerned by the epidemic

  • Evaluation of analytical and clinical performance of the Ebola virus detection test with the reference laboratory of hemorrhagic fevers in Guinea

  • Training module "Warning and response to the Ebola virus disease epidemic in the West African network of laboratories"

Support to clinical biology laboratories

  • The Coronthie Women and Children’s Health Center in Conakry
    Fondation Mérieux has managed the construction of the Center laboratory and its equipment, and training of health personnel.

  • LAB-NET Project
    The purpose of this project is to establish surveillance of hemorrhagic fever syndromes to strengthen diagnostic capabilities in Guinean biomedical laboratories.
