Setting up a DEA on infectious disease control and zoonotic transmissions at the Faculty of Medicine of Lubumbashi

Setting up a training course to train future leaders on a broad national programme to fight against zoonoses to offer to leaders of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Training of three assistantsof the Laboratory Director of the University Clinic of Lubumbashi for one month in order to train other staff.

Conference for 100 students from the Faculty of Medicine and the School of Public Health on the following subjects:

  • Viral infection, pathophysiology, immunology;

  • Molecular epidemiology of retroviruses;

  • Molecular vaccines and anti-infection prevention.

Carrying out of a practical study component to identify pathogenic micro-organisms carried by paper currency. The objectives are to:

  • determine the role of paper money as a vector of endemic or epidemic diseases in Lubumbashi;

  • identify preventive measures adapted to money handling;

  • propose mechanisms to reduce the spread of pathogens carried by paper currency.
