Travel directions

Located on the shores of Lake Annecy, Les Pensières is easy to reach and benefits from an international environment – close to the world institutions in Geneva. The center is 3 hours 30 minutes by TGV from Paris, 40 km from Geneva international airport, 1 hour by freeway from Lyon and 1 hour by the Mont Blanc tunnel to Italy.

 

By road

  • By the A41 Lyon-Grenoble motorway and towards Geneva
  • Exit 16 Annecy Sud, Cran Gevrier, Seynod
  • Take the Poisy expressway towards Annecy-le-Lac for 1.2 km
  • At Cran Gevrier, continue along the N501 for 3.1 km
  • At Annecy, continue towards the lake and follow the Avenue de France as far as Parc de l'Impérial which borders the lake.
  • Take the left « Rive Est » towards Veyrier, Menthon, Talloires
  • Avenue du petit-port, go along the lake on the D909
  • Go past Albigny as far as Chavoires
  • Just after hamlet of Chavoires, at the entrance to Veyrier-du-Lac, take the exit lane (also a cycle lane) on the right
  • After 200 meters, on a lower level, you reach the « Les Pensières » parking lot located in front of the main entrance to the Foundation.

 

By train

  • Annecy station
  • 5 TGV Paris / Annecy connections a day (3 hours 37 mins)
  • Bus and taxi connections
