Humanitarian Alternatives has just published its 4th edition. 6 years after the beginning of the war in Syria, the journal devotes its fourth issue to the following topic: "Syria: the future in limbo".

The issue features two articles about the crisis in Yemen that will allow you to understand the causes and origins of this conflict, and also an interview with Stephen O’Brien, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator.

The journal is published three times a year with each issue devoted to a specific topic. The ambition of Humanitarian Alternatives is to bring together researchers and humanitarian stakeholders to reflect upon and create a more dynamic exchange on current practices and development within the humanitarian sector.

This international, bilingual (French/English) review is supported by Fondation Mérieux, along with Fondation Action Contre la Faim, Fonds Croix-Rouge française, Fondation de France, Fondation Handicap International, Fondation Roi Baudouin and the Department of International Cooperation of the Principality of Monaco.

Universities are also contributing to the project, including Université Laval (Quebec City), the Raoul Dandurand Chair at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Lumière University Lyon 2, the Bioforce Institute, the Centre d’études et de recherches internationales et communautaires at Aix-Marseille University, the Unesco Chair for culture and peace at the Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny (Abidjan), the École Supérieure de Commerce et Développement 3A (Lyon), Saint Joseph University (Beirut), and the École libanaise de formation sociale (Beirut).
