The 8th University of Young Researchers is a multidisciplinary training week of all areas of HIV research. It was held from 1 - 7 October 2011 in Carry-le-Rouet (France).
The main challenge is to motivate young researchers to undertake the long-term research on HIV with the following objectives:
to present HIV infection as a multidisciplinary approach to research on HIV/AIDS
to encourage reflection on the problems of research and the difficulties faced by people living with HIV North and South
to establish collaborative links between young researchers from all disciplines and learn to work together throught worksops.
48 young researchers, selected from 79 applications, beneficiated from 45 hours of courses given by 30 teachers.
