Where We Work
Building networks so that local concerns remain at the heart of our work
The Mérieux Foundation builds local capacities over the long term. Through our activities, we encourage local players to take ownership of the infrastructure and programs that are established to increase the global effort to fight infectious disease.
Within this framework, the Foundation is active throughout the world thanks to the connections created between stakeholders in the health sector. This networking approach means that both knowledge and facilities can be shared across countries or regions.
Working alongside local partners, our teams build infrastructure and strengthen the skills of professionals in the field so that the continuity of our action is assured.
Through a global health approach, we aim to sustainably improve the quality of life of the populations in low income settings. We do this by providing help to the most vulnerable in society, particularly mothers and children.
