Since 2021, the Mérieux Foundation and the Pasteur Institute in Dakar have been organizing the Afro-ACDx course on the African continent in French, aimed at directors or managers of diagnostic laboratories and decision-makers in the field of public health diagnostics. Its objective is to improve the leadership skills of laboratory managers and promote the role and value of diagnostics.
The course aims to provide leadership training, strengthen laboratory capacities, and promote the sharing of experiences between countries in dealing with epidemics and the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance, using a “One Health” approach that breaks down the barriers between human, animal, and environmental health.
The course program is developed with a steering committee composed of numerous diagnostic experts representing various institutions.
