The Board of Directors has appointed Dorothée Lintner as Director General of the Mérieux Foundation. She will take up her post on October 1, 2025, succeeding Jean-Pierre Bosser, whose term ended at the end of September after six years of service to the Foundation and public health.

Dorothée Lintner, Executive Director of the Mérieux Foundation.

An associate professor, Dorothée Lintner has built a rich and diverse career at the crossroads of higher education, professional training, and humanitarian engagement. After holding several management positions, notably at the ENGIE Group’s internal university, she became CEO of the Bioforce Institute in 2022, a leading organization for capacity building among humanitarian actors.

Her commitment to local capacity building, her understanding of global health issues, and her background in academia, the private sector, and humanitarian work will enable her to continue and strengthen the Mérieux Foundation’s mission to help the most vulnerable populations.

After six years as Director General of the Foundation, I pay tribute to Jean-Pierre Bosser’s remarkable work. He has strengthened and structured our organization to enable it to cope with the discontinuity of our environment. Dorothée Lintner, who is taking over after having headed Bioforce, will have to tackle highly complex challenges, pursue priority programs in the field of infectious diseases, and continue to roll out mother-child initiatives in the countries where we operate,” said Alain Mérieux, President of the Mérieux Foundation.

The Board of Directors warmly thanked Jean-Pierre Bosser for his commitment and remarkable work, and wishes him every success in his new venture. The Foundation also wishes Dorothée Lintner every success in her new role.
