Impacts of climate change on poverty and humanitarian crises: overview and proposals from civil society organizations?

This conference, organized on September 5 at Palais Brongniart in Paris, will be moderated by Stéphanie Stern, LAB project manager at Action Contre la Faim. This event is co-organized by Humanitarian Alternatives.

The four speakers are:

• Claire Fehrenbach, Executive Director of Oxfam France;
• Benoît Hazard, anthropologist, researcher at CNRS and at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (École des hautes études en sciences sociales, EHESS), co-editor in chief of the Cahiers d’Études africaines;
• Cheikh Kane, climate resilience advisor for West Africa at the Red Cross/Red Crescent Climate Centre;
• Prof. Jeannot Ramiaramanana, Director of the Centre d’économie et d’éthique pour l’environnement et le développement of the University of Antananarivo and scientific advisor of the research program UMI-Résiliences-IRD.
