Summary
This scientific session entitled “A Metrics-Based Evaluation of One Health: Toward Control of Vector Borne Diseases (VBDs) in the Context of Climate Change” was jointly co-organized by TDR and the Merieux Foundation – both advocates for One Health as a field of research and practice to address infectious diseases of poverty among vulnerable populations. The session brought together several speakers with vast expertise and experience in the fields of EcoHealth and One Health.
The session aimed to further articulate the fundamentals of One Health, draw insights into the conduct of integrative research using One Health transdisciplinary systems approaches, including a scorecard/metrics based evaluation for its operationalization.
