Sixteen months after the disastrous earthquake that shook Port-au-Prince, rehabilitation of the Haitian State University Hospital laboratory (132m2) is finally complete with the support of bioMérieux.

The project consisted of replacing the temporary tents used as laboratories following the earthquake on 12 January 2010 with prefabricated buildings in order to perform biological activities in a clean, safe and well-adapted environment, fit to admit sick patients.

Fondation Mérieux, along with the Institute Mérieux and Fondation Christophe et Rodolphe Mérieux, continue to support their partners in Haiti, bringing much-needed help to the earthquake victims.
